About the Role

Responsible for managing cross-functional projects across 8th Avenue’s Food manufacturing business. Must be able to build a positive relationship with Corporate shared service teams, plant teams, and 3rd party contractors. The role will be responsible for traditional project management metrics of adherence to budget, timeline, and defined scope. As a project manager, you have overall responsibility for successfully planning, executing, and completing projects. Projects will support or drive growth initiatives and will have an immediate business impact.

Skills needed for successful execution of this role include strong business and technical acumen, flexibility/adaptability, conflict resolution, basic financial acumen, and excellent communication and organizational skills. This role will require physical presence at the project sites, either through the ability to travel extensively or reside at the project sites for extended periods of time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, define and communicate project scope to stakeholders
  • Create and manage overall project timelines inclusive of all functional activities related to Sales/Commercialization, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Quality & Logistics
  • Make sure projects stay on the specified schedule, budget, meet quality standards, and follow safety standards
  • Manage operational aspects of projects in conjunction with Engineering & Operations teams and 3rd party contractors
  • Oversee the progress at the worksite at least weekly
  • Manage and coordinate progress update meetings with all internal functional leads
  • Ability to modify project plans as needed and communicate all changes to company leadership, functional leads, and relevant contactors
  • Identify, report, and escalate problems or issues when needed
  • Assist Engineering team with on-site supervision and managing priorities during construction and buildout as needed
  • Document on-site activities and impact on the overall project timeline
  • Assist in preparation of project status reports by providing status and photos weekly
  • Education and Experience Requirements

  • 2-5 years of project management/construction management
  • Demonstrated capability to identify the critical path schedule and manage to it
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization skills with attention to details
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize, and complete work in a timely manner
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to plan and lead effective team meetings
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with company processes, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with clear and concise communication of project metrics, utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • PMP or PMA certification
  • 1-2 years of commercial food experience is a plus
  • Qualifications



    Bachelors or better.



    2 years:Project Management/Construction Management


    1 year:Commercial food experience
