Position Overview
Position Summary:
This role leads both the maintenance and electrical functions via daily and preventative maintenance support needs for the operational teams. This role is accountable for creating and deploying technical skills development plans for maintenance team and for leadership of the MRO, maintenance planning, and maintenance supervision functions to support appropriate parts, supplies, and tool inventories to drive minimal unplanned downtime and expected production outputs.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive documented preventative maintenance program for the facility (production, packaging, warehouse, and facilities). Drive team to ensure execution on preventative maintenance plan based on historical failure analysis and specific process/machine technical knowledge, with the result being a reduction in unplanned downtime
Partner with department leaders to understand day-to-day maintenance support needs; develop customer-focused maintenance plan and direct maintenance team and third-party resources to ensure successful resolution of daily/weekly maintenance needs in a timely and cost-effective manner
Lead talent development activities for front-line maintenance team; assess technical skills of maintenance team; build and drive development plans for each maintenance team member to ensure technical machine and maintenance knowledge and skills improve. Provide job expectations and role clarity for team members to promote ownership and achieve maximum uptime
Lead MRO team to ensure that a parts/inventory plan is developed and executed on, resulting in parts, tools, and supplies inventory levels that support day-to-day needs and preventative maintenance plans
Display fiscal responsibility through leadership and development of, and execution to, maintenance department budget in support of operational needs. Included in this fiscal oversight is building maintenance, utilities, total maintenance labor, maintenance resources, and operational maintenance items
Development and execution of profit-maintaining projects (capital) related to productivity and cost-savings objectives
Provide feedback on safety, productivity, and quality programs to ensure all employees are properly trained and meet company objectives

Education And Experience Required:
HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution and 7+ years’ experience in plant maintenance OR Bachelor’s degree in Science and 5+ years’ experience in plant maintenance
5+ years maintenance leadership experience
Demonstrated experience developing and managing a department budget
Previous experience reading blueprints and schematics
Previous experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and extra hours, as needed
Preferred Education, Experience, And Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
Advanced technical training with the ability to lead in a fast paced, team environment, improve operation safety, efficiency, and effectiveness, and utilize assets in the most cost- effective manner
Previous experience in food or beverage manufacturing
Previous experience with implementing behavior based safety programs
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Strategic planning skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
