The Role You Will Play

To help us in our growth, we are hiring an experienced Human Resources Professional who loves being both hands-on and strategic and will serve as a leader of our company culture, values and strategic initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll use your experience to provide leadership and hands-on administration of all areas including but not limited to staffing, employee relations, compensation, performance management, training, rewards and recognition, diversity and culture initiatives, and policies and procedures. You’ll use your expertise in current federal and state employment laws, State and Federal safety and health rules to ensure our policies are and remain compliant.
Understanding the transportation market and developing new recruitment and retention strategies are vital to our future success. This critical role will develop a new strategy for attracting, recruiting, and retaining the best talent from the current talent market and the next generation who will innovate, sustain and drive our company’s future growth.
This position is management level reporting to the Director of Field Human Resources and Safety, with an office located in Springfield, Ohio, a satellite office located in Sunnyvale, Texas, and travel to that location is required occasionally.

What We Are Looking For

Knowledge
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good computer skills (MS Office, Word, Power Point and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
• Strong recruiting skills
• DOT Regulations

Education/Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in human resources or related field
• 3 or more years in a manager or supervisor role preferred
• Proven success managing a successful recruiting strategy in a difficult field - preferably transportation.
• Experience coaching employees and managers on a variety of issues related to performance, staff training, and individual career development.
• Experience working with third-party vendors/administrators/etc.
• Experience working in fast-growing companies.
• Proven success working cross-functionally both internally and externally.
