Benefits Specialist

Job Duties:
• Assists and responds to eligibility, claims and enrollment questions from participants, employees and/or benefit
• Partner with Post’s benefit carriers to ensure that all benefit changes or updates are made to their claims, eligibility
and/or other systems, as needed.
• Assist with eligibility and enrollment process and data audits related to Post Holdings, Inc.’s health and welfare benefit plans for annual open enrollment, new hire and change in status events throughout the year.
• Assist with training and education of the Post Holdings health and welfare benefit plans for business unit HR team members, members and participants.
• Interact with outsourced systems support and internal departments such as HRIS, Human Resources, Payroll and Accounting to ensure proper administration of plans.
• Support the monthly reporting premium payments, ASO fees and fees and charges to insurance companies and
• Coordinate and monitor processes with vendors to ensure efficient, accurate administration of benefit plans.
• Proactively identify problems and recommend solutions for consideration to the Benefits Supervisor Health & Welfare Plans and/or Director, Benefits Administration.
• Prepare monthly, annual,and ad-hoc reports for management, as needed, to assist with ongoing and strategic development of benefit plans.
• Assist the Benefits Supervisor, Health & Welfare Plans with the applicable filings for all plans. Including annual audit requirements, 5500 filings; support ACA reporting as necessary.
• Ensure that benefits administration, internal and external, is conducted in accordance with federal and state legislation regulating employee benefit plans.
• Update benefits applications in payroll system for purpose of implementing new benefit plans and changing
benefits payroll deductions.
• Other duties as assigned
• BA/BS Business Administration in Human Resources or equivalent experience is required
• 1-4 years in Benefits Administration experience is required
• Computer Skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office
• Project Management Skills are preferred
• Communication (verbal and written) Skills
• Interpersonal Skills
• Knowledge of Ultimate Software a plus
