Senior Financial Analyst - Commercial



Job Details



This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation and analysis of all financial aspects of the Commercial channel. Partner with sales and support leader(s) to understand their business goals and analytical needs. The Senior Analyst will become the "go-to" resource for accurate and meaningful fact-based analytics that contribute to key business decisions and methods to increase sales productivity and sales performance including timely, accurate and reliable information to Commercial management personnel.


  • Development and tracking of key productivity drivers, as well as ad-hoc analysis, will be critical to enhancing the understanding of the business across all levels.
  • Participate and lead preparation, analysis, and communication of the Commercial channels annual strategic planning activities including volume, revenue, selling and marketing expense assumptions.
  • Combine historical trends, forecasts, knowledge of past and upcoming business drivers both within different areas of the company and external market conditions that lead to action and drive better decisions in the company's on-going effort to increase overall sales productivity.
  • Preparation of monthly sales forecast information including volumes, revenue, and selling expenses. Includes collaboration with sales, marketing,, etc…; to generate accurate forecasting of current trends.
  • Proactively manage product margin and identify variances or trends in Income Statement and related reports
  • Collect sales data and evaluate performance relative to sales goals and industry benchmarks while taking into consideration current internal drivers and economic conditions.
  • Provide customized reporting and recommendations in support of ongoing business decisions or initiatives. Utilize ROI, trending, forecasting, regression, and risk identification and mitigation tools as appropriate.
  • Make thorough, well-researched decisions that are compatible with overall goals and priorities; determine significance of all pros and cons and the likelihood of success; contingencies are identified and pre-planned.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting/Finance
  • 7+ years’ experience in financial analysis, planning, forecasting and revenue ($1B+).
  • Food Service industry experience required
  • Supervisor/managerial experience preferred
  • SAP experience required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills: ability to convey complex information to a broad audience with differing levels of subject matter expertise
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects' critical path towards business deliverables, under tight deadlines. Ability to co-ordinate and manage simultaneous data requests of varying size and scope
  • Demonstrated senior analyst skills in all aspects of financial accounting, reporting and analysis.
  • Self-motivated team player who values organizational success and enjoys finding the right answer in a collaborative process, open to debate, and comfortable in active discussion
  • Demonstrated mastery skills in Excel and other MS applications
