We have the honor and responsibility of working in food – a critical infrastructure industry during this time of global crisis. We are working around the clock to keep inventory flowing to our retailers and to help feed the world. This position will begin as a work-from-home role due to COVID-19 and will transition onsite and be based full-time at our corporate headquarters in Minnetonka, MN.

The Associate Brand Manager role is at the center of all brand decisions and is our direct link to the consumer experience. This individual is responsible for leading our consumer definition, marketing planning and execution, and managing cross functional teams. This position is expected to lead and participate in cross-functional project teams and is the champion of the brand promise. The associate brand manager also manages consumer insights projects and helps the team understand product and consumer insights to help guide development.


  • Leads the development and execution of the annual marketing plan
  • Lead analysis of brand performance utilizing syndicated and internal data to gain insights and form recommendations
  • Lead portfolio communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Leads shopper marketing development, planning, budgeting and execution
  • Lead consumer insights gathering through both primary and secondary research
  • Lead agencies through the development and execution of the advertising and consumer promotion support plan
  • Executes program metric alignment and measurement
  • Provides input in monthly analytics of syndicated resources and internal performance metrics
  • Guides agency partners in event marketing initiatives and execution
  • Manages agency partner in Public Relations initiatives to drive earned media support of core brand and innovation projects
  • Execute marketing plans including consumer promotions, advertising, shopper marketing, PR, digital and events
  • Assist Trade marketing team with the development and tracking of pricing and retail promotional strategies
  • Assist with P&L management and reconciliation
  • Participate in new product and packaging projects and new product pipeline development.
  • Manage marketing budget
  • Attend customer calls as needed
  • Continually develop professional and personal skills in areas of marketing, leadership, and communication
  • Develop and leverage a working knowledge of the industry, category and competitors
  • Performs other projects or activities as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business required, MBA preferred or equivalent experience plus 1+ years’ experience
  • Experience with food or consumer packaged goods marketing preferred
  • Advanced PC skills: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP, statistical software desired
  • Strong project planning and management skills, ability to lead teams and multiple simultaneous projects effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated individual with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork, problem solving and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel 10-20% is required
