POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Storeroom Attendant is responsible for receiving and re-stocking inventory, distributing parts and supplies, and tracking back-logged purchase orders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, unpack, and put away MRO material into inventory
  • Locate and issue required materials to maintenance and other client personnel
  • Keep accurate and appropriate inventory levels
  • Label materials and storage locations
  • Relocate material within storeroom for more efficient use of space
  • May deliver materials to various departments
  • May investigate and resolve customers’ inquiries about parts availability and delivery
  • Use computers to organize and locate parts and maintain accurate part information
  • Cycle count inventories daily, weekly, monthly or as required
  • May prepare goods for shipment
  • Perform general housekeeping duties within the storeroom
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
  • Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
  • Must possess similar work experience; parts room / tool room experience a plus
  • PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer literate, knowledge with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and SAP is a plus. Knowledge of MP2, Maximo or other CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) helpful
  • Must be a team player and provide excellent customer service
