POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Responsible for checking at least 180 eggs of each lad, and fill out the quality score sheet of Breaking and HCK (Hard Cook) stocks.
  • Responsible for immediately informing Supervisor or Lead person of any damage to product arise.
  • Responsible for assuring USDA (United Stated Department of Agriculture) paper work when the quality of the egg samples is out of spec.
  • Responsible for labeling with a hold tag the skids and keep records on the white board of the PO (Production Order), when a problem with the quality of eggs arise.
  • Responsible for helping the Receiving Dock when need it or required.
  • Make sure to collect the proper samples when need it or required for color testing and take it to upper lab.
  • Make be required to help out in other areas as needed.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • EDUCATION:

    High School education.

    SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Specific skills and abilities required that are not included in other sections:
  • Must pass USDA certification test on candling eggs.
  • May be required to obtain a license for a pallet jack.
  • Must be intelligent and be able to read and understand oral and written instructions.
  • Must have good math skills.
  • Ability to stand most of shift.
  • Ability to safely lift 55 lbs. and carry it at least 30 ft. regularly.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Self motivated and alert.
