Attune Foods LLC, a part of 8th Avenue Food and Provisions, is proudly located in the Pacific Northwest in beautiful Eugene, Oregon.

The Material Handler is responsible for picking and delivering all raw and packaging materials that are required by production for their assigned area. This includes picking per the batch pick list, recording lots and quantities picked and allocating the materials within JDE. This position is also responsible for returning to stock any items that are not used by production. Other responsibilities of the Material Handlers are to cycle count raw and packaging materials as per count schedule or critical count request. The material handling position is also trained on the receiving process.

There are multiple shift openings!

Job duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Stage raw and pack materials for the various production areas.
  • Return all raw and pack materials once production is finished.
  • Reconcile production batch tickets with quantities delivered and returned.
  • Operate fork lifts, pallet jacks, and shuttle truck.
  • Complete cycle counts per schedule or directive.
  • Fill out pass down log and ensure continuity between shifts.
  • Conduct stock rotation while pulling and returning materials.
  • Work towards reducing the number of lot codes that are stored by closely following FEFO.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and clean spills upon there detection.
  • Follow all GMP and Allergen policies.
  • Responsible for supporting and maintaining Food Safety and Quality Programs
  • Understand the QA hold and release procedures, rework process, and liquidation process.
  • Knowledge of:

  • Company products and warehousing processes.
  • Warehouse layout.
  • Inventory Control Techniques.
  • Production Schedules.
  • Food Safety.
  • Skill in:

  • Math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Organization and time management
  • Decision making
  • Forklift operation
  • Shuttle Truck Driving
  • Ability to:

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing including e-mail.
  • Ensure collaborative relationships with production, scheduling, and sanitation
  • Receive instructions and follow through on deliverables
  • Multi-task and respond to non-routine requests
  • Accurately record and transact informationProficiency in: MS Office Suite, JDE, E-mail, EzLabor
  • Work Environment:

  • Work is primarily done in a warehouse environment
  • Frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature.
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to get on and off a forklift multiple times per shift.
  • Stand, walk, climb stairs on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to lift over shoulder height frequently
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 plus years of warehouse or manufacturing experience
  • 2 years of forklift operation experience
  • 2 years of ERP system experience in a warehousing environment
  • Proven math skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid Oregon Drivers License
