The Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing plant electrical and mechanical control systems. The successful candidate will have a background in PLC's, motors and motor controls, troubleshooting and electrical construction. Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems are required. Journeyman electrical license required. Food industry experience preferred, but not mandatory.

The ideal candidate will also have strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork, time management and organizational skills, will be highly motivated, self-directed and accountable, and will have the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff across the organization.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

Level 1:

Effectively and safely operates standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools and basic electrical test equipment

Perform preventative maintenance up to Semi-Annual PM’s.

Read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics at 50%.

Complete some minor troubleshooting of problems related to our systems.

Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition

Follow prescribed safety rules and regulation as well as other departmental policies and procedures. Help to develop proper safety techniques

Detect, document, report and repair improper machine operation and faulty equipment.

Follow and perform emergency procedures regarding power failures

Diversify maintenance skills to allow for assignments in any work areas as required

Understand and certify in our LOTO program.

Effectively inform through verbal and written pass-downs your daily issues and actions.

Level 2:

All of the above in Level 1

Perform preventative maintenance up to and including Annual PM’s

Set up preventative maintenance paperwork for new machinery in designated areas.

Read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics without issue.

Provide leadership, training and direction when necessary to other maintenance technicians or machine operators.

Ability to determine the root cause for troubleshooting systems.

Provide some support to engineering in gathering requested information and beta testing some engineering projects.

Comfortable speaking to a machine service engineer to gather information, report unusual issues and problems for resolution.

Provide leadership, training and direction when necessary to other maintenance technicians or machine operators

Knowledge of:

Standard practices in maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical components

Extensive knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.

Knowledge of programmable controllers and their software’s.

Skill in:

Problem solving using defined methodologies

Organization and time management

Hydraulic and pneumatic control systems

HVAC and refrigerant systems.

Fabrication and Welding

Ability to:

Open, understand and edit PLC programs

Communicate effectively both verbally and written.

Ensure collaborative relationships with Attune Foods staff

Lead ‘best in class’ behaviors with focus on safety, quality, and policies.

Proficiency in: Excel, Word and PM system tracking

Work Environment:

Work is primarily done in a manufacturing production floor

Frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting at a work station for short periods of time.

Frequent line calls throughout the building requiring immediate response.

Stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders on a frequent basis

Must be able to lift 50 pounds on an infrequent basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma

Oregon State Electrician's License

Recommend associates degree in a related field or similar.

Minimum of 2 years of experience
