PNC is part of the Active Nutrition segment and is operated by its own senior leadership team, with publicly traded Post Holdings, Inc. (FY 2018 sales of $6.3 billion) as a parent company acting in a “private equity” capacity. Post Holdings’ Active Nutrition segment is a leader in providing innovative products that support healthy, active lifestyles with over $800 million in sales. Premier Nutrition utilizes a third-party network for manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution. Post Holdings is comprised of the Active Nutrition portfolio, which includes PNC, Dymatize, ­­­and Active Nutrition International (protein bars, shakes and powder products), Post Consumer Brands (cereals), Michael Foods (eggs, potato, cheese, and pasta), Weetabix (cereals), private label business groups, and Bob Evans Farms (a leader in frozen breakfast meats and vegetables).


Statistical Analyst is responsible for creating time-series models that accurately predict future product sales. Analyst will work closely with Demand Planning team to increase forecast accuracy over 18-month planning horizon. Analyst is also responsible for managing Linear Programming (LP) Models to create a constraint based supply plan that optimizes total delivered cost. Analyst will manage overall performance of Demand and Supply Planning Tool (O9) and work with Supply and Demand Planning teams to build functionality to support their business requirements.


Build and Maintain Statistical Models: 40% of TIME

  • Create and enhance time-series models to predict SKU level customer requirements in monthly buckets for the next 18 months
  • Review statistically generated demand forecasts and manage statistical parameters
  • Review monthly SKU level accuracy and bias metrics and adjust models to reduce error
  • Create segmentation of products based on characteristics such as volume, customers and length of history and create unique time-series models to best predict future sales volume
  • Incorporate causal factors such as price and promotion type to predict lift associated with events
  • Build and Maintain Constraint Based Supply Plan Model: 40% of TIME

  • Manage LP and MIP optimization models to generate constraint-based supply plans that meet business guidelines and goals
  • Work with Supply Planning team to incorporate business requirements into optimization model
  • Drive reduction in total operations cost and increased fill rate by enhancing optimization model
  • Create ad-hoc optimization scenarios to support the business decision such as where to locate warehouses, impact on cost/fill rate due to supply interruption or change to total delivered cost based on change in source of supply
  • System Maintenance and Ad-Hoc Data Analysis: 20% of time

  • Responsible for overall accuracy of O9 Planning system. Investigate and correct any data integrity or functionality issues working directly with internal IT teams and O9 as needed.
  • Act as key liaison between Premier Nutrition and O9. Review new functionality and determine benefit for Premier as well as work with O9 to add new capabilities as needed.
  • Become O9 Super-User and assist Demand and Supply Planning teams to build reports and capabilities that require advanced support.
  • Utilize statistical background to assist in any ad-hoc analysis needed by the business


  • BA/BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research or related field required; advanced degree preferred
  • Experience:

  • Experience building time series models and linear programming in R required
  • Experience working in Supply Chain and/or Consumer Goods preferred
  • Skills:

  • Ability to manage complex data, infer trends, and spot patterns
  • Understand forecasting concepts, models, and statistical techniques
  • Must demonstrate strong communication, decision making and problem-solving skills
