PNC is part of the Active Nutrition segment and is operated by its own senior leadership team, with publicly traded Post Holdings, Inc. (FY 2018 sales of $6.3 billion) as a parent company acting in a “private equity” capacity. Post Holdings’ Active Nutrition segment is a leader in providing innovative products that support healthy, active lifestyles with over $800 million in sales. Premier Nutrition utilizes a third-party network for manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution. Post Holdings is comprised of the Active Nutrition portfolio, which includes PNC, Dymatize, ­­­and Active Nutrition International (protein bars, shakes and powder products), Post Consumer Brands (cereals), Michael Foods (eggs, potato, cheese, and pasta), Weetabix (cereals), private label business groups, and Bob Evans Farms (a leader in frozen breakfast meats and vegetables).

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, People the People Specialist will be the first layer of Human Resource support for PNC and Dymatize. The People Team Specialist will be responsible for performing duties focused in the areas of recruiting, payroll, employee experience and benefits.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

RECRUITMENT COORDINATION/ON-BOARDING: 40% of TIME

  • Pre/Post interview coordination with candidate
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with the hiring teams and create interview packets
  • Follow up on the interview process status with candidates
  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Applicant Tracking System
  • Coordinate travel and lodging between the candidate and travel agent
  • Coordinate lunch orders for candidates and interviewers as needed
  • Send all new hire documents to candidate and administer the background check process
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct new employee orientation including but not limited to form completion, file creation and maintenance, employee welcome and benefits explanation
  • Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification system; periodically audits Forms I-9.
  • Temporary employee recruiting support including tracking employee information and payroll company coordination
  • HR SYSTEMS/DATA MANAGEMENT: 20% of TIME

  • Maintain and control all personnel recordkeeping activities (manual and electronic)
  • Input personnel information changes to UltiPro HRIS System (new hires, promotions, change of managers, etc.) in a timely manner
  • Process federal/state paperwork/requests (e.g., Labor Department, EDD, etc.)
  • Notify appropriate teams (Post Credit Card team and Post Travel team) of personnel changes (new supervisors, terminations)
  • EMPLOYEE PROGRAMS/BENEFITS: 20% of TIME

  • Act as primary informational resource/point of contact for employee benefits, including but not limited to tuition reimbursement, payroll, and policy interpretation
  • Support employee experience and onboarding process in partnership with Talent Acquisition Specialist
  • Distribute company-wide benefit communications (i.e. Summer hours, EAT Club)
  • Manage new hire welcome programs (Palm tree contest, welcome boxes, interview bags)
  • Coordinate People team-related functions, meetings, and events
  • PAYROLL: 20% of TIME

  • Coordinate and ensure the timely processing and accuracy of the semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for two companies.
  • Collects and audits payroll files ensuring data accuracy and compliance for all non-exempt and exempt employees
  • Manages payroll process, works with Sr. Manager to approve the final payroll report to be processed
  • Pull and audit PTO report for exempt employees for processing
  • Track all time away
  • Responsible for timely manual checks to be requested for terminations
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with at least one year of experience in Human Resources or related field
  • Skills:

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and learning and development skills required.
  • Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Excellent process and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills – Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexible to take on additional/new responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and confidentially.
  • An understanding of payroll compliance a plus!
