The Role…

We are seeking an individual who thrives in a fast paced and high growth environment. This key position will offer the opportunity to provide financial oversight to drive growth and profitability. This role will serve as the Marketing team’s financial expert and will influence executive decision-making.

The Marketing Finance Manager will be responsible for business unit financials for Premier Nutrition, Dymatize, PowerBar, Joint Juice, and Supreme. In this role, you will provide financial leadership to our Marketing business partners through analytical projects, marketing spend analysis, pricing exercises, annual planning, and new products. Additionally, this role will be critical in the assessment of monthly/quarterly/annual results and the preparation of volume/trade forecasts. This role will report to the Director of FP&A.

Forecast & Planning: 50% of Time

  • Responsible for Quarterly Forecasts and Annual Plan development and analysis
  • Represent Marketing Finance in IBP process
  • Provide deep analytics of marketing and trade marketing spend (ROIs, effectiveness and assumption changes)
  • Work with Brand teams to develop 3-year growth vision
  • Provide bridges detailing drivers of change for Plan, Latest Estimate and ad-hoc requests
  • Calculate, consolidate and communicate Marketing risks and opportunities
  • Responsible for Quarterly Business Review analytics and content
  • Create ad-hoc monthly/quarterly outlooks
  • Analytics & Reporting (Monthly & Quarterly): 40% of Time

  • Responsible for variance analysis, waterfalls and commentary (Month/Quarter)
  • Provide insight on marketing metrics such as Household penetration, ecommerce investments
  • Partner with Marketing on ad-hoc Product P&Ls
  • Partner with Marketing and Accounting to align at month-end: review expenses and assist in accruals.
  • Responsible for data management integrity of the GM model utilized by Marketing
  • Partner with Marketing on spend analytics to identify optimization opportunities
  • Model and analyze all marketing decisions and new business opportunities
  • Provide support for quarterly Earnings Release data requests
  • Support Innovation group finance needs
  • Innovation: 10% of Time

  • New Product P&L: partnering with cross functional teams to understand assumptions around launch support, ongoing investments and volume builds
  • Provide New Product Risk and Opportunities
  • What are we looking for?

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • Experience:

  • 6+ years of progressive Finance experience
  • 2+ years within Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry or Retail
  • Skills:

  • Works well under pressure and meets deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Exceptional cross-functional skills
  • At ease presenting key results verbally, in writing and visually to larger audience
  • Effective in meeting management: clearly outlines purpose, keeps participants engaged and communicates follow-ups
