PNC is part of the Active Nutrition segment and is operated by its own senior leadership team, with publicly traded Post Holdings, Inc. (FY 2018 sales of $6.3 billion) as a parent company acting in a “private equity” capacity. Post Holdings’ Active Nutrition segment is a leader in providing innovative products that support healthy, active lifestyles with over $800 million in sales. Premier Nutrition utilizes a third-party network for manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution. Post Holdings is comprised of the Active Nutrition portfolio, which includes PNC, Dymatize, ­­­and Active Nutrition International (protein bars, shakes and powder products), Post Consumer Brands (cereals), Michael Foods (eggs, potato, cheese, and pasta), Weetabix (cereals), private label business groups, and Bob Evans Farms (a leader in frozen breakfast meats and vegetables).

KEY RESULT AREAS:

Premier Nutrition is looking for someone with a solid understanding of supply chain and will be responsible for the inventory accuracy across the Distribution Center Network in a way that meets customer service requirements and inventory performance objectives at each of the locations. The inventory control coordinator is also responsible for assisting with the implementation of lot codes in Netsuite ERP system.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inventory management (45% of time)

  • Monitor aging of finished goods inventories, actively coordinating with warehouses to ensure oldest lots ship first (First Expiry, First Out)
  • Manage the status and visibility of remnant inventory of old lot codes and/or products that have been discontinued, through the final steps of destruction or liquidation
  • Identify and communicate any risks with Excess and Obsolete inventory
  • Follow-up on OS&D inquiries with Customer Accounts team and 3PLs
  • Posting inventory transactions in ERP system
  • Assist with new Lot code tracking system implementation
  • Provide insight to determine best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on priorities
  • Test and validate inventory data/transactions
  • Monthly warehouse reconciliation for month-end close (45% of time)

  • Ensure inventory accuracy between warehouse and Netsuite ERP system
  • Identify and resolve inventory variances
  • Implement corrective action plans and adjustments
  • Review monthly shrink and loss
  • CHEP pallet tracking (10% of time)

  • Export and import all CHEP pallet activity into CHEP Portfolio Plus
  • Monitor all inbound and outbound activity
  • Monthly reconciliation to ensure transactions are reported accurately and timely by all partners
  • Coordinate with 3PLs to replenish pallet inventory
  • QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    Education: BA/BS degree

    Experience:

  • 2+ years: Inventory management and reconciliation
  • Experience with NetSuite system, or similar ERP system, is a plus
  • Skills:

  • Communicate clearly and concisely
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Effective process manager and people influencer
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Set priorities, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • High degree of problem solving and decision making ability
  • Handle complex and diverse customer issues where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
  • Ability to exercise judgment and handle ambiguity within generally defined practices and policies selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Self-directed, with the ability to communicate issues, make recommendations and solve problems
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through and pro-active tracking of Sales Order management stages
  • Able to manage and prioritize many details with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Working knowledge of supply chain and order management processes
  • Understands EDI transaction documents
