PNC is part of the Active Nutrition segment and is operated by its own senior leadership team, with publicly traded Post Holdings, Inc. Post Holdings’ Active Nutrition segment is a leader in providing innovative products that support healthy, active lifestyles with over $800 million in sales. Premier Nutrition utilizes a third-party network for manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution. Post Holdings is comprised of the Active Nutrition portfolio, which includes PNC, Dymatize, ­­­and Active Nutrition International (protein bars, shakes and powder products), Post Consumer Brands (cereals), Michael Foods (eggs, potato, cheese, and pasta), Weetabix (cereals), private label business groups, and Bob Evans Farms (a leader in frozen breakfast meats and vegetables).


PNC is looking for a Customer Planning Specialist to join the Sales Planning team. This role is responsible for the management of the trade planning system inclusive of but not limited to baseline and incremental volume along with promotional event deal entry. This role is to work closely with assigned Field Sales Teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of changes to a sales plan within the trade planning system. The position will also work directly Trade Accounting and report into the Sales Operations Manager.



  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Sales team as it relates to planning and updating trade events – annually, quarterly, monthly etc.
  • Monitor contract trade events in Trade Management tool and review with Broker Representatives
  • Provide audit support for deal entry via Contract support and promotional adjustments
  • Ensure updates are made to trade management tool with changes in distribution
  • REPORTING: 15% of TIME

  • Create and update standardized reports using raw data and provide ad-hoc reporting
  • Report on planned vs. volume variances by utilizing trade event analysis reporting
  • Oversee input of annual business plan in the Trade Management tool
  • Clarify variances in volume expectations for the Demand Planning team
  • Trade Efficiency Reporting: Identify trade spend anomalies (monthly, quarterly) and provide reports to Sales Planning and Field Sales Directors prior to month and quarter closes

  • Power User of the Trade Planning System
  • Create and maintain Broker/Customer contact list
  • Assist Sales System Analyst in overall system maintenance efforts inclusive of authorized items by Customer; Planning Accounts etc.


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant experience
  • Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) company
  • Strong knowledge of trade and trade planning systems
  • Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport & collaboration with Field Sales
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy of data entry
  • Strong technical & report running abilities
  • Understanding of the total business process and procedures with an ability to effectively articulate business issues.
  • Self – Starter with an ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Ability to work with multiple Account Managers/Sales Directors and prioritize work initiatives
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with NetSuite and Cloud-based platforms a plus
