PNC is part of the Active Nutrition segment and is operated by its own senior leadership team, with publicly traded Post Holdings, Inc. (FY 2018 sales of $6.3 billion) as a parent company acting in a “private equity” capacity. Post Holdings’ Active Nutrition segment is a leader in providing innovative products that support healthy, active lifestyles with over $800 million in sales. Premier Nutrition utilizes a third-party network for manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution. Post Holdings is comprised of the Active Nutrition portfolio, which includes PNC, Dymatize, ­­­and Active Nutrition International (protein bars, shakes and powder products), Post Consumer Brands (cereals), Michael Foods (eggs, potato, cheese, and pasta), Weetabix (cereals), private label business groups, and Bob Evans Farms (a leader in frozen breakfast meats and vegetables).


The Brand Manager, Emerging Businesses will be responsible for leading the expansion of the Premier Protein brand across new product formats. The position requires a strong entrepreneurial mindset, bias for action, and eagerness to build. The Brand Manager will have one (1) direct report.



  • Key P&L owner of Premier Protein’s Emerging Businesses beverage lines.
  • Develop annual plans that set clear objectives and strategies to connect with consumers, win with customers, and drive strong financial results.
  • Strong analytic skills to understand drivers of the category, competition, and owned product lines, with the ability to succinctly deliver data-backed recommendations to move the business.
  • Utilize consumer research & insights to guide product renovations & extensions – then partner with cross functional teams & agencies to develop product, packaging, P&Ls and commercialization plans to launch.
  • Champion the product lines with Field Sales to maximize distribution opportunities & retailer support.

  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns – from creative development to full media plans – to drive outsized interest and excitement of Premier’s newest businesses.
  • Manage team of creative, media, PR, & consumer promo agencies to develop winning activations.
  • Demonstrate ability to drive an agency/team through effective feedback, campaign analysis & optimizations, and relationship building.

  • Manage one direct report, working collaboratively to achieve annual business & development objectives.
  • Key strategic contributor to the Emerging Business team, leading core strategic projects across the team.
  • Be the voice of the product line to the PNC Executive Team, ensuring alignment is achieved & results are driven.
  • Lead development and implementation of a Marketing Intelligence system. As lead on this project, you will need to work across the Marketing organization to understand and organize key data inputs into an easily navigated online portal – ensuring the marketing team has fingertip access to key business management data.


  • Bachelor’s degree required; M.B.A from leading program preferred.
  • Experience:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience, with 3+ years of Brand Management experience within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry required.
  • Food, beverage, and/or nutrition experience preferred.
  • People management preferred.
  • Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and interest in healthy food trends.
  • Highly curious & results-driven behavior.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Self-starter – comfortable ‘figuring it out’.
  • Quantitative strength –very comfortable with numbers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Cross-functional project team experience.
  • Ability to influence and lead others.
