POSITION SUMMARY:

The Robot Operator is responsible for operating and troubleshooting robot equipment in the wrapping and packing area. In addition perform quality checks, monitor line equipment performance and support team members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect the robot at start-ups to ensure it is ready to run by completing the start-up check sheet.
  • Ensure all boxes are completely within the pallet with no overhang to reduce damages to the product.
  • Inspect each pallet to ensure it is of the quality required. (Broken boards, nails etc.)
  • Identify and ensure we are using the correct pallet pattern to obtain the right quantity on the pallet.
  • Maintain log of all unusual problems and mechanical downtime along with calling maintenance and supervisors as needed.
  • Maintain the area clean at all times.
  • Clean the area around the robot at the beginning and end of the shift.
  • Perform all clean up duties at turnaround times.
  • Meet all efficiency, GMP and Quality requirements.
  • Operate the case packer when needed.
  • Must be able to perform all mechanical & PLC change-over on the robot and caser.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    Less than high school education.
