The Forklift Operator is responsible for unloading materials/ingredients off incoming trailers, organize them in storage area, and transport specified goods from storage area to other buildings on premises to be used in production.


  • Responsible for keeping the plant safe by remaining cautious and driving at slow speeds.
  • Read and understand order sheets.
  • Unload materials off trailers to designated storage area.
  • Organize storage area based on product information and date.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory by reporting and receiving authentication of all changes in inventory from Inventory Analyst.
  • Transfer materials from storage to specified buildings upon authorization from supervisor.
  • Record and report any equipment problems and damage to any product or company property.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
  • Adhere to all safety polices and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Less than high school education.
  • Must be able to operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Must be able to operate power dock boards and locks.
  • Must understand product age specifications related to storage and supplying to production areas.
  • Must be focused and attentive at all times.
  • Ability to operate as a team member.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic power industrial truck operations.
  • Power Industrial Truck Operator’s License

  • High school diploma preferred but not required.
