Description

SUMMARY:

Utilizes all safety standards and procedures. Demonstrates, creates and maintains a safe work environment. Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structure, pipe & electrical systems in commercial industrial establishments by performing the following functions.

This position has the responsibility to comply with safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce safety as a core value. Ensures that all policies, procedures, and activities, related to food safety & quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.

ACTIVITIES:

  • Visually inspects and tests machinery & equipment.
  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Lays out, threads, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Performs testing of boilers, softeners, RO systems and air compressors as required to assure continued operation
  • Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such and lathe, grinder, drill and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
  • Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Performs PM work orders as required and in a timely manner.
  • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
  • Operates forklift.
  • This position requires the associate to be responsible for food safety, food quality and regulatory requirements in their work areas.
  • Assumes personal responsibility to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and, incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
  • Adheres to quality work practices, follows GMP’s, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained.
  • Reports to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.
  • Always ensures regulatory compliance.
  • Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • HOURS:

    This position will be working on the weekends.

    1st shift: 5am - 5pm

    2nd shift: 5pm - 5am
