Description

The Sanitation Worker is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all equipment after production to ensure food safety, managing the clean-up of all other production areas according to the requirements and procedures of the department.

The successful candidate will be required to work graveyard shifts 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM and occasional weekends and overtime as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hand wash equipment with chemical cleaner and wipe equipment
  • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to specifications
  • Use vacuum cleaner and air gun to clean equipment
  • Sanitize production lines after cleaning
  • Remove garbage from production area
  • Gather and empty trash
  • Clean floor mopping, sweeping, scrubbing or vacuuming
  • Keep sanitation equipment/room clean and tidy
  • Service and clean restrooms if assigned
  • Clean and polish furniture and a variety of surfaces as assigned
  • Notify supervisor of any needs for repairs
  • Ensure food safety and quality
  • Other duties may be assigned

    • Education & Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year experience working in Sanitation

    • Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Must be able to work with chemicals and other cleaning agents
  • Able to stand and walk around for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to work shift work including graveyard shifts and weekends as required
  • Ability to learn our business, be a team player and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment.
