Maintenance Coordinator-ON



Job Details


  • Provide administrative support to the Maintenance Department
  • Primary contact with vendors and suppliers – shall train them to our standards
  • Keep PM program accurate and current, including printing and distributing PM’s, monitor and follow up of PM’s, adding new equipment, keep calibration requirements up to date, closing PM’s
  • Ensure all activities in PM program are completed in time frame allowed by their priority code
  • Keep maintenance logs for all equipment and machinery
  • Maintain accurate maintenance inventory
  • Coordinate/plan maintenance activities/plans/projects (ex: projects, weekend work, shutdowns)
  • Attend monthly internal audits, HACCP meetings and work with QA to close corrective actions
  • Monitor and Completion of maintenance documents
  • Keep approved lubricants list up to date, ensure food grade compliance as needed
  • Keep approved service provider registry up to date, receive necessary documents from contractors
  • Ensure service providers to maintenance receive required GMP training, monitor service providers on site
  • Perform risk assessments, complete hot work permits, as needed
  • Update MSDS and allergen related documents
  • Maintain a list to monitor emergency repairs to assist with the annual review and implementation of new PM’s
  • Spare parts inventory, tools inventory
  • Perform necessary research when considering new equipment installation & design, keep up to date on new trends/updates in maintenance for food industry (for example: size of filter for filtered air)
  • Knowledge of lock out / tag out procedures and ensure compliance
  • Monitor incoming and outstanding requests including audit findings and work order requests from other departments
  • Communicate with work order requesters for complete clarity of work to be performed
  • Identify best practices; collaborate with Maintenance Lead for implementation
  • Responsible for SRMP elements / safety aspects as assigned
  • Must be able to work overtime and/or on weekends as the job requires
  • Other duties may be required as assigned

    Some post college or better.



    1-3 years:Experience as a Maintenance Coordinator/similar role


    Knowledge of excel, word & maintenance systems and maximizing usage of the system

    Experience in a Food Manufacturing or related Food Industry environment an asset

    Good team skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting with all departments.
